Area Manager

Position: Area Manager Spain (Spain & Portugal)
Location: Spain (with regular travel across the country and one quarterly trip to France)
Reporting to: Head of New Markets & Strategic Partnerships

About the Role

UNIIVO is expanding its international presence and is looking for an Area Manager based in Spain to coordinate and manage day-to-day operations, client relationships, and team activities across Spain and, later, Portugal.
The role combines operational management, client follow-up, and training coordination within the Uniivo Science and Uniivo Academy teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operations on client sites, ensuring service quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations.
• Supervise unit managers: plan activities, monitor KPIs, and support professional development.
• Maintain regular contact with clients: meetings, audits, and improvement follow-ups.
• Support the rollout of Uniivo Academy training sessions in Spain and Portugal.
• Deliver training courses (in Spanish and English) and help adapt training materials.
• Ensure smooth coordination between teams in Spain, Portugal, and France.
• Represent UNIIVO at local events, institutions, and client meetings.

Profile

• Strong experience in team coordination or operational management.
• Knowledge of animal facility operations and European/Spanish regulations (Directive 2010/63/EU).
• Ability to manage client relationships and ensure service quality.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Autonomous, organized, and comfortable in an international environment.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (French is a plus).
